Program Description
Stanford Health Care's ANCC-accredited (with distinction) Vizient Nurse Residency Program has been running since 2006 and offers 350+ hours of precepted clinical orientation plus monthly seminars and a mentored evidence-based practice project. Specialty areas include Critical Care/Trauma, Cardiovascular, Medical Oncology, Neurology, Inpatient Medicine, Inpatient Surgery, Bone Marrow Transplant, Adult ED, Pediatric ED, OR, Psychiatry, and Float Pool. Requirements
Graduate of accredited ASN/ADN, BSN, or MSN program within 19 months of cohort start (February 2025–September 2026 window for Cohort 45). Active California RN license required by start date — hard deadline, no exceptions (no interim permits). ACLS from AHA required. BLS from AHA required. Less than 6 months full-time paid RN experience (max 1,040 hours). No work visa sponsorship available.
