Chico Unified School District Substitute Licensed Nurse; on-call/as-needed, varying Monday–Friday shifts, part time. LVN classification explicitly accepts current RN or LVN license; posted rate is $27.65/hour, not a separate RN pay scale. Any equivalent combination of experience and training providing required knowledge, skills and abilities qualifies; typical pathway is one year with students/groups of children OR medically related work. Employer determines equivalence; no guaranteed acceptance of every new graduate. Continuous recruitment.
Current valid LVN or RN license; First Aid and CPR certification (linked specification requires both); appropriate valid California driver license, safe driving record and current auto insurance. Personal vehicle travel between sites as needed. Equivalent combination of experience and training providing required knowledge/skills/abilities; typical route one year with students or groups of children OR medically related work.
Read/write at level needed for performance. Classification competency examination and District Instructional Assistant competency test required; specialized health/First Aid/CPR/emergency-services training may be required. Before work: LiveScan, TB clearance, mandated training and new-hire documentation.
