Program Description
UCLA Health offers a Vizient/AACN-aligned 1-year new graduate nurse residency with two cohorts per year. The program is available across a wide range of specialties including Medical-Surgical, Emergency Medicine, ICU, OR, Adolescent-Child Psychiatry, Geriatrics, Perinatal, Pediatrics, NICU, Telemetry, Cardiothoracic ICU, Oncology, and more. Monthly education sessions address leadership, patient outcomes, and professionalism. Each resident completes an evidence-based practice project presented at graduation. Assignments are based on individual background and organizational need.
Requirements
Active California RN license required. BLS required. No prior paid acute-care RN experience required (or minimal). Full-time commitment for 1-year program required. Continued employment for a second year is strongly preferred.
