Program Description
Kaiser Permanente Southern California offers an ANCC-accredited 12-month new graduate RN residency across 16 medical centers serving 4.8 million members. Specialty tracks include Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, ICU, L&D, OR, and Definitive Observation. Cohort 2 application dates have been delayed — check the careers site for updates. Info sessions were scheduled April 1–14, 2026. Cohort 2 target start date is August 17, 2026. The program uses comprehensive evidence-based curriculum, simulations, precepted shifts, and mentorship.
Requirements
Active California RN license required by start date (no interim permits). BLS from AHA required. Less than 6 months paid inpatient acute-care RN experience. Minimum supervised clinical hours vary by represented location (768–917 hrs). Graduate of accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
